Emma Korto Horace Kimba

With heavy hearts, the Horace and Kimba families announce the homecoming of our beloved, mother, wife and sister Emma Korto Horace-Kimba. Emma, our matriarch, the epitome of strength, love and everlasting determination passed away on January 2, 2024, in Snellville, Georgia, U.S.A.

It is professed that, “What you leave behind is not what is engraved in stone monuments but what is woven into the lives of others.” Emma personified this sentiment. The immense mark she left on this world will never be forgotten. She loved with pureness, cared for others with no restrictions and she gave to others without anything in return.

Her occupation as a nurse for 38 plus years of experience gave her the immense fortitude to help others in need and provided her the opportunity to mentor other nurses in the professional healthcare setting.

Emma enjoyed going to church, being with her family and grandchildren and traveling with her best friend. She lived a fulfilled life. We celebrate her forever. The same God that dwells in her in Heaven, dwells in us here on Earth.

“The world changes from year to year, our lives from day to day, but the love and memory of you, shall never pass away.” We love you Emma.

She is pre-deceased by her mother, Telma Duma and her father, Daniel Horace.

She is survived by her husband- Dwalue Kimba, her children Gradia Jones-Megayo, Yandia Jones and Daniel Zunugo. her grandchildren-Elijah Praise Jones, Grace Yanell Jones, Nicklaus Christian Kabore, Abraham Kwadzo Megayo, and Jeremiah Kofi Megayo, her siblings, Daniel Horace, Masue Horace, Coco Horace, Carter Horace, Shanan, Sackie, Vivian, Tracy, Youngor, Lawrence, Forkpa, Faliku, Emerick and countless other beloved siblings, in-laws, extended relatives and friends in the United States and in Liberia.
